The Need

The Northern Rivers is a rapidly growing region and is often presumed to be an area of prosperity. On the contrary, this region suffers from a high-degree of unemployment and significantly greater socio-economic disadvantage than NSW as a whole. As a result, there are often children who are bored and make a nuisance of themselves during holidays, so providing holiday camps with challenging adventure activities gives them something positive to occupy their time with, and teaches them new skills that will equip them for life.
