The Children

Sponsored children will be sourced through various child and family support services, local schools and churches. Youth workers, social workers, teachers and ministers are encouraged to nominate children for sponsored positions on camp. Nominations will be prioritised in order of need and will be accepted as long as we have donations to cover their attendance and as long as the child does not have extreme behaviour that will not be conducive to happy camping with other people. At this stage, we will be running kid’s camps in the Easter, Winter and Spring school holidays for primary students (years 4-6). As the program develops, we hope to run both primary and junior high (year 7-10) camps in each of the three mentioned school holiday breaks. Camp will not only cater for disadvantaged children, but it will also be an opportunity for full-fee paying campers to attend and for the two groups to be integrated.
